Compatibility & Installation Guide

Use the original panel part number first whenever possible. If you need an alternate, confirm the core specs and handle the panel carefully during installation.

1. Start With the Old Panel Label

The exact panel part number is still the safest replacement path. Search that code first before relying on model-only compatibility.

2. Match the Core Display Specs

If you use an alternate panel, confirm screen size, resolution, pin count, refresh rate, and pinout position before buying.

3. Test Before Full Reassembly

Reconnect carefully, power the unit on, and verify the display before sealing the bezel and finishing the installation.

Before You Buy

  • Match the exact part number first whenever it is readable on the old panel.
  • Confirm screen size, resolution, pin count, refresh rate, and pinout position.
  • Double-check touch vs non-touch, connector and cable style, and physical bracket or mounting layout.
  • Review panel and board dimensions when available, especially on slim-bezel models.
  • Use compatibility pages as a guide, but do not assume every same-model laptop shipped with the exact same panel.

Before Installation

  • Shut the laptop down fully, unplug the charger, and disconnect or disable the battery before opening the display assembly.
  • Work on a clean, flat surface and use plastic tools to reduce bezel and cable damage.
  • Ground yourself and avoid static discharge around the panel cable and system board connectors.
  • Do not press on the LCD face, twist the panel, or pull cables by the wire instead of the connector head.

Installation Steps

  • Remove the bezel carefully and keep track of screws, adhesive strips, and hinge-cover pieces.
  • Tilt the LCD panel forward gently so the back of the panel and display cable are accessible.
  • Peel any securing tape or film slowly before touching the connector latch.
  • Unlock the display cable latch if present, then disconnect the cable by the connector head, not by pulling the wire.
  • Reconnect the replacement panel firmly, close the latch, and reapply tape or insulation in the original position.
  • Test the panel before full reassembly, then reinstall the bezel only after image quality and fit are confirmed.

Warnings

  • Do not force a panel into place if the connector, bracket, or cable alignment looks wrong.
  • Do not assume a matching resolution alone guarantees safe installation.
  • Panels and cables can be damaged by static discharge, cable strain, and pressure on the screen face.
  • We are not responsible for damage. Please confirm compatibility and install carefully.
